When Katrin Reichert arrived in Australia in 2013 and was looking for a job, she quickly discovered that networking often outweighs professional qualifications in this country! Determined to make meaningful connections, she sought out German-speaking contacts and soon after founded the LinkedIn group "GABWA – German-Australian Business Women Association". What started as a simple idea has grown into a vibrant network of over 1,000 members, fostering advice, mentorship, and lasting friendships. Today, GABWA is a powerhouse for professional and personal connections, proudly represented across four Australian states.
